During the winter your body will start to lack vitamin D due to winter not getting enough daylight hours. Vitamin D is absorbed through the sun and is very essential to your bodys energy levels, and helps protect against diseases such as,cancer, diabetes, heart disease and, hypertension. You can find vitamin D in food also, I would recommend eating more tuna fish and eggs, or if you do not like those foods take a vitamin supplement. Other than that just make sure you eat healthy (fruits/vegitables), and if your have the time plan at least 30 minutes of daily exersise.

These veggies are good in the winter and avoid green salads! Though it can be very beneficial to have a romaine salad with chicken. If you love fish, one way to have a winter fish meal is to serve it with root vegetables, winter greens or potatoes instead of rice.
