Is Gods love good enough or do we need more?

I think God’s love is good enough, but I like having nice things too. Actually, we do need money. We couldn’t live without money.

It’s not that we need it, but we’re greedy. We have to have tons of money and the best of everything lol. Well, most people do. Not all of them. Some are happy with having just enough money to survive off of.(:

I agree. I know a guy who doesn’t have a lot of money. He’s happy, funny, smart, HOT as fck, and an overall nice guy. If only more people were like him lol.

There are several basic needs, water, food, shelter, faith, employment, Health and education. Obviously not everyone has these, but it is what everyone needs,which does include money from working in order to get food, shelter, etc, but those who may not have these, use their faith to hope one day they will :)

God love is enough for us. If you love God, and God love you (if you are lucky enough LOL) God will provide you will all good things you need, including money and new clothing.

Well, it’s really quite simple…who do you think has the best chance of survival - the believer who goes out and works and brings home money for food, shelter and clothing, or the believer who sits on the street corner day after day, praying for God to provide? I may be an atheist, but I don’t think God intends for people to become dependent on Him.

God’s love is awesome. Our God is an awesome God. We can depened on God at all times, we can trust Him with our life. He will provide us everything, because we don’t just choose to go out and go shopping for cr*p that we don’t need, God chooses that. He controls our whole life. He’s the one who provides us with everything. I believe that God’s love is enough for us.

I beg to disagree. I do not belive that the love we have for ourselves is enough. So speaking, we will not even get to Heaven unless we love God more than anybody else in this entire world, including yourself, friends, and family. God has to be the top of our love list, and if He isn’t, tuff luck for you!

How very sad is that. I refuse to believe in a God who is self-centered, jealous, and scared enough to want me to love him more than myself. You keep on loving the invisible more than people who can actually help you and do things for you. I will continue giving my love to people who can love me back and to people who won’t threaten me with fire if I don’t love them. Abusive relationships aren’t my style. ;)

God is not self-centered, or jealous. He loves us all dearly, even if we don’t believe in Him. He sits there waiting for you to open up your heart and let Him in. If you don’t, He will still wait there for you. And just because I love God more than other people, doesn’t mean I don’t love other people. I do, I love my family and friends. God tells us to help those in need, so that’s what we do, unlike you non-believers, we are good Samaritians. If you don’t know what that is, I recommened you buy a Bible and read it to find out. I am not trying to get on to you or something, I just want you to turn to God’s ways. He is a very loving God, and He is sitting there waiting for you, just waiting for you to open up your heart and pray to Him and ask for forgiveness. And you can still love yourself, but that isn’t always a good thing, because God made you. Read Psalm 139: 14, it says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” That is one of my favorite verses in the whole Bible, even though it IS hard to live up to, but it’s true. We are fearfully and wonderfully made by God the Father. I don’t care what anybody says about me being stupid for believing in an invisible God, but let me ask you one question….. I know we can’t use our five senses at all on God, but we have faith. We have faith that He is there. Well, we can’t use our five senses at all to know that you have a brain, because I’ve never heard, seen, smelled, tasted it, or touched it, so how do I know that you have a brain? We have faith. We have faith that you have a brain. Same with God, so I recommened that you don’t call Him an invisible God, because I can just come back and say you don’t have a brain.

The god of the bible does not love everybody. He even tells believers how to kill the nonbelievers. From that statement alone, I can tell that you have not read your holy book. I have read the bible, I know the sick stuff that goes on in it. The fact that you think somebody can only be a good person if they believe in your god is scary. The fact that you think god makes you do good things and that you are not simply just a good person makes me sad. You don’t need to see, touch, taste, hear, or smell my brain to know that it is there. It is obviously there since I am alive and sending this response to you. Unlike your god, science can test on brains. We can take pictures of brains, we can perform brain surgery, and we know that anybody who is alive has a brain because we know how the brain functions. I will keep saying that the Christian god and all other gods are false until proven otherwise. Do you not find it strange that people of the other religions experience all the same things that you do for your god? All the “miracles” and coincidences happen to everybody, not just believers. It’s called life. Some of us know this, and some of us blame a god.

My favorite quote relating to what you said is: “Prepare as if everything depended on man, pray as if everything depended on God.”

Well, let me ask you something…Did everybody rise from the dead? I think not. Only God’s miracles can do that, only Him. He sent His Son to the earth to turn people on the right track. God does not tell believers how to kill nonbelievers. If you give me a verse of the Bible, I will believe you, but for now, I will always stay on my track that God is good and there are no other gods. I also believe that there is a God, and that is God. You can believe what you want, but I’m sorry when you don’t get to have eternal life. I tried, I did. I really want to get you to believe. I care about you, really I do. All I want is for you to believe in the One True God.

Again, telling me what happened in a book is not proof that any of it happened. Look up Leviticus 24:13-16 in your bible, stoning blasphemers. Sick stuff. That is barely touching the surface of the sick things in your book. I am glad that you care about me. That is very nice of you to say. :) We can debate religion for fun, but neither one of us are going to change the others mind. I want you to believe whatever you want, so long as you know all of the details in the book that you believe.

Well, I’m glad you might’ve had a fun time debating with me. But remember, God is always open for you. So when your ready, all you have to do is say a prayer to Him and ask for Him, and He will come into your heart.

God’s love will allow you to have eternal life. As you said, “true REAL love,” well, let me tell that is God’s love. He is the one with Real true love.

But God is really. And from what your saying, do you believe in God? That is my biggest concern, people who don’t even believe in God. From what I’ve read, it seems you do believe in Him, you just don’t love Him.

Yes, I know tons of people who have very little money, yet there are still perfectly happy. I think that’s the way things should be. We should give up all our earthly desires ,as it says in 1 Peter 4: 2, and live for God.

Hi Morgan. Its obvious that u belive that there is a God. But remember that satan also exists. it is is he that should be blamed for the bad stuff that happens to you. And he wants to keep you angry at God so that u dont get a chance to expereince the peace & joy that God can give u. It is true that bad stuff happens to people and thats why one day Jesus promises to return to end all this. He will reward each person for their actions good or bad and he gives us the Bible to help us make the right choices. He wants everybody to be saved but it is ultimately us to them cause he wont force us.

hi secular Sara, i was very interested in what u had to say. It seems to me that if u blame God, u must beleive that He exist. U said that miracles happen in evry culture. that is proof to me that God loves everbody, even if they dont bellieve in HIm. Also as a christian i battled those same questions u have, but on further study i realised that God is one who is loving but he is also a judge but He doesnt enjoy it casue He loves us. “Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; “ God has in times past destroyed the wicked and one day He will do it again but God does not want any of us to perish. Hell was originaly made for satan and his angels but when we choose evil we also choose hell. But god has provided a way of escape through Jesus His Son.

God’s love is enough. If He provides food for the birds of the air, who do nothing to earn the food they get lol, why wont He provide for us? If we love Him, we’ll accept His love. He loves all of us, no matter if we believe in Him or not. I believe it can be enough, and He will provide what we need to live on this physical earth :)
