God..

If there is a “god”, then why do men have nipples? How do Christians explain this phenomenon?

Answer #1

~~Several animal species sex’s are determined that way, though…sort of. A few types of sea turtles have their sexes chosen by the temperature the eggs are kept at. Probably other animals too. ~~ Reptiles are the species in which their sex is dependant on the temperature of the egg. Amphibians as well if I recall correctly.

annonymous001 that was petty if anything

rockstar & jjes, I think you completley missed the point, now haven’t we?

Answer #2

Because in early stages of development, all embryos are genetically female. They need an extra chromosome to make them male. So the beginning stages of breasts ARE there (nipples, mammatic tissue) they just don’t develop.

Answer #3

I’ve wondered that too but I’m not an atheist. it’s just God’s creation.

Answer #4

Annonymous001 - To jane of the jungle, you made a rather premature conclusion there and I bet you dont appreciate things being premature.

It is not my problem if your believes don’t allow your brain to reason past certain points and ignore others, because this was what I have posted:

Ok Cintirich, so if this is “true” it means that god also developed in someone’s womb, for the reason that you’ve mentioned, right? So he is also human and humans cant become Supernatural beings right?

And you wished to ignore it! Xtianity let us believe, we are born in his image, so according to them, “it is a fact” so if it is a fact, why not reason around it and explain how do YOU see it as FACT?

“Why do men have breasts and nipples? They have them because men start out as women. As much as men hate to hear this, the human fetal blueprint is initially female. We all begin as a ball of cells that quickly differentiates into various body parts. At five weeks of gestation, the fetus sports a neural tube that eventually becomes the spine, but other than that, we all look like a wad of chewing gum. Then at six weeks’ gestation, the outlines of eyes, arms, legs and a face (and let’s not mention the tail that also shows up for a while) appear. It’s not until about week six that the fetus also begins to take on the biological accoutrements of gender. If the fetus has a why chromosome, testosterone will turn the buds for sexual organs into testes. Once in operation, those testes will pump out even more testosterone and, voila, a penis appears. Female fetuses aren’t swayed by testosterone and so they stick with the fallback blueprint that calls for ovaries and a vagina. But the developmental secret here is that breasts and nipples are already in place before testosterone shows its hand and starts shaping cells into male organs. In other words, men have breasts and nipples because they already had them before they became male.”

The true irony is that the Adam and Eve’s story is totally debunked as man was made from woman and not the other way around.

Again, wouldn’t that mean that your god had a Mother and if not, what is the possibility that he was invented, like hundreds of other religions?

Answer #5

Basically it was easier for him to just give a why chromosome to prevent the estrogen from making boobs on male mammals rather than have to make every single male mammal since the Garden of Eden without nipples. And he wanted to give the Evolutionists something petty to argue about without removing female breasts, because breasts are nice and even God appreciates them, thats why he made them so nice, I bet all mammals (dogs, tigers, otters, tarzan etc.) appreciate their females breasts we just cant talk to them to find out. And lots of humans appreciate other mammals eg: Cows and Goats for their boobs milk producing qualities.

To jane of the jungle, you made a rather premature conclusion there and I bet you dont appreciate things being premature.

Answer #6

men having nipples has nothing to do with believeing in God… thats like saying why do some people have brown hair and others have blonde or, how can a man or women be born with both private parts??? religion is religion you either belive in it or you dont but if you dont( which I dont) then let it be, you dont believe it anyway, if you do believe then you should be questioning the way God has done his creations

Answer #7

Espherian - Yes, but if god made ourselves in his image, why did he have nipples in the first place? They are pointless for a male, no? Cintirich - All mammals have nipples both sexes. when you are being born your gender can go either way, depends on certain conditions in the womb. Ok Cintirich, so if this is “true” it means that god also developed in someone’s womb, for the reason that you’ve mentioned, right?

So he is also human and humans cant become Supernatural beings right?

This could also mean that it is possible that everything religious people believe in is fictional and that humans are (like animals) only a natural phenomenon who evolved to what we are today!

Answer #8

“All mammals have nipples both sexes. when you are being born your gender can go either way, depends on certain conditions in the womb.”

No, the sex of human babies are entirely dependent on the whether the father supplies an X (female) or a Y (male) chromosome.

Several animal species sex’s are determined that way, though…sort of. A few types of sea turtles have their sexes chosen by the temperature the eggs are kept at. Probably other animals too. :)

Answer #9

men have nipples because when a developing baby is in the womb, the nipples develop before genetalia do. SO, the baby is technically genderless until a few weeks after the nipples have already developed. …if its a boy, the rest of the mamory glands do not develop. if its a female… well, I think we all know this one.

Answer #10

All mammals have nipples both sexes. when you are being born your gender can go either way, depends on certain conditions in the womb.

Answer #11

Yes, but if god made ourselves in his image, why did he have nipples in the first place? They are pointless for a male, no?

Answer #12

Adam and Eve is a metaphorical myth, not a true story.

The scientific explanation doesn’t answer this person’s question, not that it even requires god any way.

Obviously god had nothing to do with the origin of man, or even exists for that matter.

Answer #13

The true irony is that the Adam and Eve’s story is totally debunked as man was made from woman and not the other way around.

Adam and Eve story debunked?!! How does this have any connection to Adam and eve?

Weather an embryo is a male is already determined when the egg is fertilized. It is just that the organs that differentiate males from females develop only after six weeks. So regardless of what the embryo looks like before six weeks, the truth is that weather an embryo is a male or a female is pre-determined and therefore it is incorrect to say that man came from woman.

Answer #14

lol what does that have to do with God’s existence?? All of us start off as females in the womb and if you are to be a boy that develops later so maybe nipple development starts early on in case you stay a female !

Answer #15

We should not question God. There are many things we can’t understand. We just need to have faith. And even if science can’t explain everything, he’s real. I know this because he lives in my heart. I can feel it. And I can also see how he’s worked through my life. Please, just pray to him. Ask him to show you the way. I’ll be praying for you also.

Answer #16

1 of the reasons why I’m Atheist (hahaha… kidding)

I don’t think this is the best example but there are many things that just don’t add up when it comes to god.

Answer #17
