Gluten intolerance and intestinal wall healing

studies estimate that about 50% of the population is gluten sensitive. it destroys the lining of your intestines like sandpaper. I read that the lining of your intestines is replaced every 4 months so if you quit consuming gluten and drink aloe vera will your stomach and intestines get back to normal?

Answer #1

The aloe isn’t going to help, but yes, if you are gluten sensitive, and you stop consuming gluten, your body will repair itself in time.

If you have noticeable symptoms resulting from it; joint pain, acid reflux, auto-immune issues (especially on the skin) and some nervous system issues, then these symptoms will start to reduce within about 2 weeks of changing to a gluten free diet, from what I’ve seen, but like you said, probably several months are required to fully recover.

Answer #2

is whole grain wheat also on the gluten category?
