What is globalization?

If anyone could give me a short way of describing what globalization is it would be really helpful, I’m learning about it in school but don’t fully understand what it is or how to explain it.

It’s an increase in global trade among all the countries of the world. resulting in a single world-wide economy, rather then many individual economies.
That’s a really simple explanation.

Globalization is a broad word, but one way to put it is that it’s the increase in connectivity between the countries, causing the world to seem like it’s shriking. I.e. a product could have certain parts made in china, australia, japan, and then assembled in US, only to be distributed by Korea.

Good answer. I would add an example to it. Basically the internet is an excellent form of globalization because now countries can trade and communicate with each other from across the globe.
