Glass cut

I just sliced my thumb on a broken vase, and it bled really fast for a full ten minutes…I put pressure on it and it eventually stopped, but if I just move it the wrong way it starts again and stings really bad…is there anything I can do to make it stop for good or will it stop on its own?and I really cant stand band-aids, but should I use one or just leave it alone? Thanks

Use a band-aid to protect the cut and give it a chance to heal. Get a small band-aid. Or ideally a butterfly band-aid Remove the plastic adhesive-protecting strip from one side only of the band-aid. This is easiest if you have an assistant help you. Then apply the band-aid, like a bridge over troubled tissue, to hold the cut together. The NON-sticky part of the band-aid should be bridging the wound. THE TRICK IS TO PUT A STRETCH INTO IT. To do so, you have to place the first side of the butterfly band-aid further away from the cut than you’d think. When you pull it over, it will close the wound. Hold it, remove the adhesive-cover on the remaining side, and press it down to complete the maneuver. Good Luck!!
