Can anybody give me conflict issues within Christianity?

Answer #1

The conflict between what is written in Qur’an and in Bible: as in Qur’an is clearly stated that Jesus is not He himself. It is actually Jesus’s friend named Judas. (That’s what I heard)

Answer #2

no, a conflict among Christianity thanks anyways..like one ex: how the older members in the church are very traditional where the youngster members want to see the church change to reflect modern times..

Answer #3

The Church schism: Originally, there was one Christian church. The roman catholic church. But there were several people who were unhappy with rules of the church. And so they made their own church or sect with its own rules.
The Anglican church was founded as the King wanted to get divorced and re-marry which was forbidden in the catholic church. Martin Luthers protestant church was against the selling of indulgences practice. Where rich people could buy a letter that would rid them (or their dead family members) of all sins.

Answer #4

there is no conflict ever in the history. the basic source was christians themselves who made changes in the original bibel.

Answer #5

Actually there have been schisms and splinter groups since the very beginning. One of the earliest controversies was if Pagans could become Christians or only Jews were accepted. Prior to Constantine making Christianity the official religion of Rome there were many groups of Christians with diverse views. Once Christianity was official and its dogma was established by the Nicene Creed all the groups viewed as heretical were basically wiped out. The Nestorians and Oriental Orthodox Christian churches branched out in the 5th century. The first Great Schism in the 11th century lead to East and West separating leading to the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church. The second Great Schism occurred in the 14th century when both Rome and Avignon claimed to be the center of Catholicism each with their own pope and court and European countries had to choose which center they would recognize though Catholicism was reunited in the 15th century. There have been many other smaller conflicts and frequent antipopes who claimed to be the true pope. There is no time in history when there were wasn’t a great deal of conflict among Christendom. The Protestant Reformation and formation of the Anglican church were certainly big events though.

Answer #6

Islam can be seen as an offshoot of Christianity. They are both worship the Abraham God. Islam teaches that Jesus came and taught mankind the truth but the church corrupted his teachings over the centuries so Muhammad had to set things straight again. Years ago noting that the Muslim population was growing I speculated that eventually politicians pandering to religious conservatives would talk about Judeo-Christain-Muslim values but 9/11 and the subsequent anti-Muslim rhetoric from conservatives make this unlikely any time soon.

Answer #11

I don’t think there are any conflicting issues with Christianity itself, the issues lie more in the denominations than anything. For ex, Catholics believe in purgatory, while Baptist do not. However, they are both christians cause they believe Jesus is Christ.

Answer #12

read the bible and belive in it
