Is it wrong to do brainwave entertainment if you're Christian?

listening to certain frequencies on a pair of headphones can make your own brainwaves align with the set frequency if it is within a frequency your brain naturally gets to. setting your brain to certain brain waves like alpha for example makes your body calm down if your anxious, or theta which helps you sleep. my question is, being a christian…is this wrong to do? its not like meditation i dont think. i just kind of sit and relax. and it does helps me fall asleep. any thoughts?

Only you can answer that - is what I’m doing, pleasing to my Lord and Savior (pray and ask the holy spirit to guide you)…have a great day !!

Here’s a suggestion. Being a follower of Christ you should know that meditation is not only biblical but recommended. Here are some examples, Joshua 1:8,” This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to DO all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”Pslam 119:15,” I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways. Finally, and there are others, Philippians 4:8,” Finally brethern, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of a good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy MEDITATE on these things.” I used to listen to headphones for years before falling asleep. The problem was my brain never got a rest because of the input of other stimuli. So, as a result I woke up more tired than when I went to bed. Pray and ask God to give you a peaceful sleep. There is a scripture that even says that in Psalm 127:2,”It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.” Good Night and Sleep well.

It’s not wrong and the act of meditatian isn’t wrong I use it to relax and clear my mind for prayer.
