Is it ok if I gave my boxer dog, who is 4 months old, a venison bone?

it has been cooked and all, im just wondering if it was a bad idea!

Answer #1

Deer bones are fine. The bones are strong enough they wont break in large pieces like chicken, so they do not pose any danger.

Answer #2

You can give your dog raw deer bones but you shouldn’t feed cooked bones to dogs. While everyone knows not to feed their dogs chicken bones this only applies to cooked chicken bones. Raw chicken and bones are fine for dogs. Cooking is the problem.

Answer #3

Any bones are fine but fish or bird bones.

Answer #4

i don’t see any thing wrong with it. ur puppy will most likely loveee it lol. i give my dog (7 months) beef knee caps. i cook em with rice and chicken pieces. i give the bone to her when i have to leave her alone. don’t give her bones that r too small cause she might gulp it down she’s a pup and learnin to eat . and also like some one else said don’t give her chicken bone. deer bone sounds good… i wish i could give my dog that lol.
