Friends Mum

My friend’s mum has died and I try to understand and put myself in her place but nothing I say seems to help I start to feel its my fault and I didnt eve know her mum what should I do?

You can’t say anything that will help, because you aren’t in her shoes, so don’t then say anything, just give her hugs when she needs it and listen to her when she needs to talk, you don’t even have to reply to what she says, sometimes people just need to have someone to listen to.

Just be there for your friend and stick together through the good and bad times thats what a good friend does!

If you’ve never experenced it, you cannot possibly put yourself in her place. Give her a hug, tell her that you’re sorry that it happened, and give her time and the room to greive.
