What can I say to my best friend who's little brother is in the hospital?

Her little brother’s in the hospital for pneumonia. He’s only three years old and is at risk of heart failure. He’s been in there for 3 weeks and has been slipping in and out of consciousness. He is like my baby boy. I love him, and my best friend. I want to say something to comfort her, but I have nothing. I’m always there for her no matter what, I just need something to help her feel better. I luv you all… Peace out… :((

What you’ve just said to us sounds pretty good. And then just be there. If she’s scared, let her know that you understand and you’re scared too. You cant fix this and you cant promise it will all be alright. All you can do is show your love and support, and believe me, you’ll do just fine.

Answer #2

Oh my gosh thanks! But I just don’t know how I’d move on if God forbid, we lost him.

Answer #3

It’s hard and it’s scary, and I dont know if there’s an easy answer to this. Which all sounds like empty platitudes I know, and I wish there was a magic solution to this, but I dont think there is. For now, try not to give up hope. He’s got medical care, and he’s held on for this long so he’s a fighter. I’m not religious, but my thoughts are with you and your friend. She’s lucky to have you in her life.

Answer #4

Thank-you. You gave me hope and I will have my friend know that I beleive in her brother and everyone that knows him beleives and that even though he’s not in good shape (at all) we will all be by his side, good or bad shape. I beleive he will not die for at least another 90 years. I’m optimistic, but this has gone on too long and he hasn’t gotten any better…

Answer #5

So just thanks.

Answer #6

You’re very welcome. I know it’s hard to keep hope when things dont get better, and you’re very strong for still being optimistic and being there for your friend.

Answer #7

Be positive ..most important thing, make your friend feel positive too and tell her that sometimes being positive affects things and it really make things happen well… i hope he will be alright…

Answer #8
