Why did my brother's best friend squeeze my hand?

I was at my brothers soccer game and after the game the players run down the line of spectators and get highfives. My brothers best friend is on the team and when he squeezed my hand and said, “ Good game maddy,” why did he do that?

Maybe to get your attention because he wanted to tell you “good game maddy” so you didn’t just keep running past before he got the chance to say it?

Likely an unspoken gesture because he likes you. He may not even realize he did it. Also, he’s your brothers best friend and maybe he just want to be friends with you too or just paid special attention to you. I’d say it was perfectly innocent.
