How do you French plait?

ive watched tons of videos.. still cant do it.. tips?

Answer #1

You mean braid?

Answer #2

yeah:)

Answer #3

Basically you start with 3 strands of hair like you would with a regular braid. Place the right over the middle and then the left over the middle like you normally would with a regular braid. Now, the next time you place any strand over the middle, grab some hair from the side of the strand and incorporate it with the strand before placing it in the middle. Youre just picking up more hair as you go along basically… Does that make sense?

Answer #4

Basically what Kahili said, but remember to leave hair out of the braid to start, so you have hair to add to the braid as you go on. Get it?

Answer #5

yeah kinda thanks guys!

Answer #6

Its really not as hard as it looks, and i had the same problem before watching this video. http://funadvice.com/r/3jsi4rp88s But you basically section your hair into three from the top and put the left over the middle, then the right over the midle or viceversa (as long as you keep to this pattern). Then you grab half the hair under that and add it to either your left or right strand, and cross it over the middle, then you grab the other half of that strand and ad it to the right or left strand and cross this over what should be in the middle. Basically keep doing this until you want to stop, but never add hair directly to the middle! HOPE THIS HELPS and wasnt too confusingg…..:/

Answer #7

It’s the same as normal braiding, except you add a little hair each time. If you want a French braid from the top, start there. Search youtube for videos too, because they usually help a lot.
