Food Obseseion

I’m a 13 year old girl and I weigh somewhere in the 140’s. I’m overweight. It seems that my problem is that when my dad buys food for me at the store, I think about it because it tastes really good and I soon get a craving for it, then the next thing you know I’m opening the cabanet and eating it. But when none of my favorite foods are in the house I seem to be ok. I take karate so that kinda helps with the weight lose. And I don’t drink soda, but I do drink a lot of juice which I know is not good for you. What really makes me mad is that my mom makes fun of me constatly for being overweight, she always says that my theighs are thick and that I look 3 months pregnant. I wanna lose this weight. Cause I feel that my mom dosen’t love me. Please help me.

First, try to get a lot of exercise, Karate is very active, and playing outside can be just as well. Try riding your bike, running around, playing kickball, etc. When your dad brings food to your house, and you get a craving, why not chew gum? It helps the craving, trust me. And as far as your mom, that’s a little harsh. She shouldn’t make fun of you. Like I said, try to get lots of exercise, eat food that’s healthy, and settle the cravings with gum. Your mom probably does love you, but maybe she doesn’t know how to interact with you. Hope this helped =)
