How can I fix my Coby MP-200 mp3 player?

When I change songs, I can’t go past a certain point and the light just stays lit up and it stays that way, it won’t let me change songs or anything so I have to turn it off and then back on. I have tried taking all the songs off of there and putting them back on but it doesn’t work. It is the only mp3 player I have and I really need to know. Thanks.

one trouble shooter is to reformat. to do this plug the player into the usb then go to my computer, right click on the device and click format. MAKE SURE ALL YOUR FILES ARE BACKED UP IT WILL WIPE THE PLAYER CLEAN
