Does anyone find it as weird as I do that there are adults and teenagers who use pacifiers?

i cant even stand to see toddlers around 3-4 years old sucking on a pacifier..lol..i’ve not seen adults suck on them..well in the nursing home where i worked they did..a few of them..but that was the ones who had problems with their minds..but i can’t stand to see when a parent lets their kid at 3,4,5 and 6 and older suck on them..it loks odd to me..lol

I am 17 and suck my thumb. I always have and always will. Some people have comfort blankets, or toys or little objects or whatever. Whenever I feel emotional or I’m on my own or really at peace I suck my thumb. I’m proud of it. I guess people with pacifiers (or dummies as they’re known in the UK) are just doing the same thing as me. It’s a comfort thing. I don’t see any problem with it at all. What actually is wrong with it? Nothing really. I think it’s perfectly fine.. maybe that means I am crazy. Whatever. My point is, I’m a thumb sucker and proud :)

I guess you’ve never heard of infantilism. It’s basically a fetish, like cross dressing. However, I’ve seen perfectly normal teens sucking on pacifiers as some sort of unique fad.

I don’t find it odd , but I dont find it to be good . It’s more of a habit or like OCD almost where they can’t give it up . Unless they just enjoy it . .

It’s a habit but it’s not bad just a little childish my friend does it but he sucks his finger it’s like how I chew on my nails it’s a nervous habit or just a mental action.

i guess…its indeed odd..but i know where i use to work i’d see these kids come in and they are talking great and tall and walking good too..and they are sucking on a pacifier..and im like..whoa..that just looks weird..lol..

it defiantly is to me i mean opinion or not. noone can sit and say its completely normal to want to piss pants diaper on or not or to suck on a pacifer. they are ment for babies who have the constant urge to suck, and if its comfort theres more healthier ways to comfort yourself. such as myself i sleep with a fan on.

Uhhhh how is that healthier? Having a fan on constantly as a comfort thing is a waste of perfectly good electricity. Care to explain how having a fan slowly destroy the environment is a healthier habit than sucking on something…?

really? thats what you got out of it, me runnging my fan the total 5 or 6 hours i sleep a night that its running is suddently going to ruin the environment. and that and i never said it was healthier. its not normal to be 25 30 sucking on a pacifer thats my opinion if your offended or don’t like it then go comment somewhere else.
