How does financial aid for college work?

U shudnt have to pay back financial aid, if u get a school loan u will have to pay that back

I have never heard of havein to pay back finacial aid but I guess it cud vary by state, just find a good school where u won’t have to pay it back

Maybe it’s different in the US, but here in Canada, financial aid is a student loan that you pay back after you finish your schooling. If you get scholarships or grants, you don’t need to pay those back.

I agree with Colleen…financial aid is equivalent to a student loan…which means it has to be paid back in full! Only time you dont have to pay it back is if it is a federal pell grant…(usually you have to fill out some papers & show proof of your tax report & then they see if you are legible & for how much!)

They have some good sites to read up on it on google…just type “how to get a federal pell grant!”

Financial aid has to be paid back. A scholarship or grant does not.
