How to figure out a mystery allergy?

My sister has been having this allergic reaction lately and I have no clue what she is allergic to. My family and I recently thought it was shrimp but it doesn’t make sense because she’s been fine with shrimp before. We’re trying to guess but really just don’t know. Her symptoms are itching, redness of the skin and sometimes dizziness? Are there any tests or methods that can/will diagnose what she’s allergic to?

Answer #1

She can be allergic to shrimp because it is possible to get the allergy later in life. Just go all the things she has come into contact with , which is including her clothing , food , drinks , <– look at ingredients , new shampoo , pollen (if you have new plants in or around the house , been somewhere ) , pets , cleaning products , an whatever. You can consult a doctor and he’ll know what to do , and will probably ask for the above list.

Answer #2

You sure can. I had a similar problem where my body broke out in rashes and I couldn’t stop itching. I had no idea what it could be because ever since I was born I had no allergies. I got a blood test done at the doctors and found out that I’m allergic to the combination of acid and chocolate. My body can’t take it. If she hasn’t been allergic to anything before, she might be allergic to two things when taken at once. I suggest she consult a doctor to keep notice of what she might be allergic to. :-)

Answer #3

If you can’t figure it out you should get an allergy test done by a doctor. Nail it down for sure so she can avoid that.

Thanks!

And don’t forget that most people with a shellfish allergy are also allergic to iodine - they need to know that at doctor’s offices :)
