Should my ferret share his hut with a male or female?

I have just got a ferret. he is 13 weeks old, I have called him polo. my mum wants him to sleep outside, I said this is okay but I am worried he will get lonley. so the deal I made was at night in the winter he will sleep inside and that I will get him another ferret for a friend. I have got him nuted(he cant breed) so if he can only share a hut with a girl ferret thats fine. but I need to know whether a boy ferret should share his hut with a girl or boy ferret.

girl is a better idea because males are can get agressive with each other ps:you should get a lock for the cage if you leave it outside at night for animals/people

you shouldn’t even keep them out side I have two female and I would never keep them outside either other animals could get to them or they might get sick from weather changes
