I’m in the same boat as you, mind you that boat had hopefully not be in water or it won’t be a very happy boat… Except with me I’ve always had the fear, and it’s abnormally bad. So, I’m going to try and give you the advice I never took… First of all, you’ll have to go in water, do you know how to swim? That would be the first step if you don’t know. Take some lessons or get some friends to help out, I don’t know about you but I have lots of people who have volunteered to help me learn. After you you learn, or if you already know, I suppose it would be best to just start going in the water and getting used to it. Start small perhaps? Go in water that isn’t too deep and just get used to the feeling of it, wait until you’re comfortable with that and advance from there. I hope that helps a little, if at all. Fear sucks and it would be best if you could overcome it.

thanks for the advice, but the only problem is that i have a pool, but the whole thing is 5ft deep so yeah, and when i go to the beach im always like 30ft away from the water

I know this sounds weird but you need to see a chiropractor who has studied kenisiology. its how your body works and how its all connected and stuff. they can find a trigger point which you can massage which can ease your fear. it worked for my dad, his fear of falling improved massively. crazy huh?

You could slowly try to get more comfortable with water by exposing yourself to it a little more. You say that you have a 5 ft deep pool.. Do you know how to swim? If you know how to swim, have you considered trying a life jacket to help you while you’re in there? It could be used as an added safety feeling.

If you don’t know how to swim, I’d say definitely try getting some swimming lessons.
