How can I get over my two worst fears?

My 1st worst fear is…clowns… I hate them all clowns even the nice ones. I don’t know why but I am scared out of my mind by … clowns… Might be something from my childhood. Can you help Me get over this fear? My second and worst fear it even criples me big birds. I am NOT afraid of blue birds or doves nothing of that size but big birds absolutly terrify me. I’ve even had nightmares about them. The bird I fear the most is the bird(which is big) that eats primates… Can you please help me get over this cripling fear?

try facing your fear examples: look at them, be around them, watch them etc. try going to a zoo and watching how they act, bring a family member, friend, loved one with you so if you get scared their with you. the greatest thing to do to overcome a fear is to face it yourself no matter how painful, well at least in my opinion. I agree & would like to add a few sessions with a professional just to help understand where this is coming from or what may lay beneath the surface. It may be something really from your past like in your childhood.

From what I have learned from my bug phobia is to NOT face your fears. Shock therapy is not nice. I’ve never done it but I freak out (a lot!!!) when I see a bug. (I have it bad!) Try to train yourself some relaxation. I close my eyes and picture myself in a relaxing place that I feel safe. It works much better when you work with a therapist. I am using this new technique that when I think of bugs or if I have anxiety, I write down lyrics of a song and that calms me down and occupies my mind off of bugs. You have to find what works for you. I don’t know the experience in your perspective but I can tell you mine. I hope I helped! :-)
