Can you help me get over my fear of starting freshman year?

Answer #1

If it helps any, in my 16 years of going to school, so far, my favorite year of all time is 9th grade. If you don’t act like a little brat, everyone will like you.. I made friends with all of the seniors, juniors and sophomores…

Answer #2

My favorite year was 9th grade. Its so much fun, its unreal. Be yourself, dont try & fit it, just be you. Dont start drama & dont comment on drama because that will lead to drama. People will be b!tches & twist your words around, youre not there to talk about people, youre there to learn :] Keep your grades up, keep your things organized & just focus. You will have the time of your life. After this year everything will be down right serious, so enjoy it :)

Freshman years is kind of easy. Spend it wisely cos then when you’re a sophomore, you’ll regret having a bomb freshman year. It’s not ALL that easy, it’s harder than 8th but once you go up a grade you’ll know and see that freshman year was okay. Also, take moe214’s advice. :)

Answer #5

Oh and don’t trust any students for directions on where your classes are. Ask security for help :)

Answer #6

and what about freshman friday? and i heard that the upperclassmen throw pennies at freshmen? is it true?

Answer #7

Omg, don’t worry about those myths! In my school they told us we would be thrown in the 4th floor pool, and it never happened! Soo really don’t worry!! You’ll be fine! (:

Answer #8

One thing though, you will be noticed. For some reason freshmen stick out!! But like I said, its not that bad. And that girl was right don’t ask students. Unless its like one of those geeky weird looking nice ones! :D they will help!!

Answer #14

Try embracing your fun-loving side, have a sense of hummor and people will be drawn to you, the more friends you have the easier it will be

Answer #15

I just started freshman year and let me just say, the first week goes by fast so you get used to it pretty quickly. The first week is always easier too. Expect high school to be very crowded but just be nice to people and be yourself. Hopefully you’ll do better than me. The classes are pretty easy to find as long as you have your schedule to look at room numbers and such. High school is big so most likely you’re going to have to walk a lot to get to some of your classes. I was a nervous wreck before school started too but I found out it isn’t that hard. Just needs some getting used to at first so try not to worry. Good luck!

Answer #16

Biggest tips I can give you are, don’t try and be popular. Type and write with proper grammar. Make new friends, no matter how lame or different. Prepare to be pummeled. And this video I’m going to attach.

Answer #17

OK well I’m about to go into my senior year and freshmen year was my most fun year (so far at least) and i was very nervous! I didn’t really know anyone, well I did, but I didn’t know them know them ( meaning we weren’t really friends) so my advice is, work hard, do your best, try to make friends ( but don’t try too hard) , don’t worry about being popular or being with the “cool” kids, focus on what is important…ur studies :) but don’t over obsess about it, balance ur life but don’t worry, everything will be fine!!
