Father problems

yup ichibanarky is right!! he’s just doing what he thinks is best.. sit down and talk to him tell him how you feel and how what he is doing is affecting you.. wish you the best.

Well, you can always move out - that’s an option.

Parents aren’t perfect, and it’s possible that in his desire to keep you safe, he’s overstepped the bounds a bit. He loves you, or he wouldn’t be so involved with your life.

Try having a heart-to-heart talk with him and prove to him that you’re not a little girl anymore (many fathers can’t stand to watch their little girls grow up).

Have patience, and try to remind yourself that he does it because he cares.

I lost my father when I was ten, and I wish he could be here telling me what to do - appreciate the time you have with him :)

the best thing to do is simply sit down and talk about it this could provide for a calm way to handle it which is good because he seems like hes desperate to gain control of your life (or just in general) also, you should assure him that this b/f is good for you (if you can’t then that should tell you something) so…good luck I hope I helped :)

You might think about moving out. Successfully establishing yourself INDEPENDANT of your family will give you the status of ‘grown-up’ more than any calendar age will.
