Why do fat girls wear skinny jeans?

I have a friend who is on the “fluffy” side of the team and she keeps saying skinny jeans and I’m like “No, you’re just stuffing a whole lot of your weight into your pants and they don’t look right.” In my head of course. But hey people wear what they feel comfortable in just like they live where they feel safest at.

Maybe they think wearing skinny jeans will make them appear skinny.

First of all, there is no size too big for skinny jeans. Afterall, they are only a type of jeans. I’m sure if a big person is going to wear them, they are aware that they are called “skinny jeans” and are meant to come tight to show off the shape of the legs. Big people know this very well yet they choose to wear it. Why? Because they can. Skinny jeans are becoming overrated. It’s like clothes are starting to become sexist. Its not anyones business what an individual chooses to wear. Skinny jeans aren’t made for one type. A big, small, fat, skinny, chubby person has every right to wear them & whatever they want. Fashion industries just want to make us believe what they think about these jeans is right. It’s time people stopped being so discriminating on fat people in tight clothes. They might have a hard time fitting in and so they try too hard sometimes. Before any of us judge, we should ask a fat person why they wear them. Everyone has their reasons, whether for them being insecure or just trying to blend in. 

why are you saying they shouldn’t, the reason they are called skinny jeans is cause the calves part of the pants are tighter/skinnier than regular pants

I think they feel that even though they are overweight, they still want to be fashionable. Everyone wants to feel that they look nice at some point, and some probably think people won’t notice if they put them on, or if they lose a lot of weight, they may want to show it off. We don’t know them so we don’t know if they have lost weight. Others may be in denial about their probalems

no, they didnt just make skinny jeans for skinny people who look like they have an eating disorder. normal and bigger girls can wear them. skinny jeans in the STYLE. its a jean with tighter legs that hug your body rather than different styles like a bootcut or wide leg style of jean that is more roomy.

Good answer, just don’t ask a fat person why they wear skinny jeans… It could seriously hurt their feelings.

I meant it out of fustration not literally. It really annoys me how people can be so mean to big people. Thanks for pointing it out though :-)

If they got the ass and legs let them wear them. Why do you wear the clothes you wear? Because they are comfortable, fashionable, and they fit? Prob. the same reason why they wear them I think skinny jeans are UGLY anyways…. even on “skinny” girls… I’m not going to ask them why the hell they wear them?

Lol, I figured that’s what you meant, I just wanted specify. And yes, people are really mean to us bigger people. I don’t see why people put us down so much.
