Who has facts about weed and brain cells?

What: is it a fact that “weed” doesn’t actually kill your brain cells, but it is actually the lack of oxygen you receive when taking a hit and holding it in?

Answer #1

No. Its not a fact. The chemicals ARE harmful for your brain. Lack of oxygen would cause additional damage.

Answer #2

if you really want facts here read about them dont just assume we know all we know about weed…educate yourself… Hope this helps! http://funadvice.com/r/3kcilk7sm7

Answer #3

From what I have read, the chemicals only cause “harm” to the brain while high (short-term memory loss, lack of motor skills, etc…). But does it cause permanent damage?

Answer #4

I’m speaking out of experience, not facts or anything written in a book….my uncle, an avid pot-smoker, recently started having seizures. His blood vessels swelled so the flow of blood was decreased significantly and he almost died. He spent several months in the hospital undergoing testing to see what caused the problem…believe it or not, they traced the problem back to his marijuana smoking. Obviously, there’s more at stake here, but take it as you want.

Answer #5

I have to agree with Colleen…i have never messed with dr*gs period, which is why i got the facts written, but have seen what it has done to some loved ones…so I was smart enough to just say no….do it if you like, say to yourself I dont need it if you like….but dont disregard the evidence pointed out!

They will say its nothing, better then cigarettes(which may be a fact on one level) but the fact still remains that it is bad for you and will kill your brain cells…

you now know the facts…and have heard other people’s views on the situation…now its your call…do as you please luv!

Answer #6

Um no. If that theory proved to be true, anyone who took too long of a drag off a cigarette would be “killing brain cells” under the same hypothesis. And we know that’s not the harmful factor of cigs: the chemicals are.

Just like THC: There’s no real and pure pot out there. It’s all grown with pesticides, chemicals and THC itself is a chemical that is harmful to your brain and will stunt its growth. Taking the hit might be psychologically soothing, might mess up your oxygen levels, etc, but that’s NOT the proper differential for why “weed” is harmful.

Woah! How did my answer’s title get changed?
