Eye Problem
We just got a femle rat Miley. She keeps one of her eyes closed a lot. There is no sore or discharge or anything visible. Should we be concerned?
I wonder if she could have a scratched cornea…they don’t necessarily “weep” gunk or even tears…but are very irritating, and sensitive to light…The Vet will give you either drops of ointment to put into her eye, to help it heal, and to keep bacteria at bay.

that is what my hampster would do. I just took a wet tissue and rubbed her eye a little. she could have got something in her eye… or it could be an infection

Easiest answer: go to a vet.
If you don’t think a rat is worth taking, then re-evaluate why it is again you’re owning one.
it sounds like shes got an infection in it! it best you get something to treat her eye!!
Maybe she just likes to wink at you…for a long time. :)
she may just have something in it or could be sick how did the other mice looke and did you get anythhng sick from the petshop before
