What are some examples of misdemeanors?

Answer #1

It depends on your state. Anything that isnt “bad enough” to be a (f)elony (because I for some reason I can’t post that word…. Some places its things like petty theft, being caught with minimal ammounts of illict d*ugs (because appearently that word isnt allowed either), etc.

Answer #2

A misdemeanor, or a misdemeanour in many common law legal systems, is a “lesser” criminal act. Misdemeanors are generally punished much less severely than felo’nies, but theoretically more so than administrative infractions (also known as regulatory offenses). Many misdemeanors are punished with monetary fines.

some examples: stealing small stuff like a shirt or soda fist fights swearing at a cop begging for money (or soliciting) <- this really depends on how much cash you conned or begged out of people and how long they were watching you do it leaving without paying in a bar or restaurant <- again depends on the value of the stuff you bought/consumed

Answer #3

yeah kinda sucks that some words arent allowed :s

Answer #4

Thanx guys that really helps! m(u)rder isn’t allowed either btw

Answer #5

yeah. Gets on my nerve, too. I either misspell them (“terroar” is allowed but terrr is not) or i use different words. “Illegal substances” is allowed drgs is not. Or I use periphrases. “did harm to himself” instead of “tried to commit s*icide”.

Answer #6

I don’t think that any certain word is bad. In the right context, even a really bad word can be OK. I mean “You are an ugly little !” Should be removed from the site but “The major of my town said that the governor is a , therefore I think the major should resign.” should be a legal way to use a bad word.
