k I know someone who’s boyfriend popped the question but they aren’t going to be married for awhile so they aren’t planning their wedding yet…are there any rules that make it different than just being together and dating?
I don’t think so. probably depends which culture you in or so. I know some people that have been engaged for years. to me it just committing yourself to a further commitment if you know what I mean. and for the rest I figure you can make your own rules.

I dont see the point in being enaged if you aren’t going to start planning a wedding. That is what an engagement is supposed to be. The period of time in which you are planning your wedding.
