Are energy drinks bad for you?

Are energy drinks bad for you? Cause I drink a lot of ‘em and I don’t want to have health problems.

Answer #1

You should stay away from them. They have a high concentration of sugar, caffeine and some other stuff that you really don’t need in your body. I am really just saying that the person who posted before me is dead on.

Answer #2

Energy drinks usually have a lot of caffeine plus a few other nutrients that supposedly also give you energy plus a bunch of carbohydrates.

An occasional energy drink isn’t that bad though if you drink a lot of them these drinks could be crowding more nutritious foods and drinks out of your diet. Due to the caffeine and high sugar content energy drinks can dangerously dehydrate you if you drink them when you are already hot and dehydrated (water, Gatorade, Powerade, etc. are better when you are dehydrated). Caffeine can raise blood pressure, cause headaches, palpitations, and difficulty sleeping,

Answer #3

if you are using them to workout and stuff, they aren’t that bad.. but if your “veging” it just builds up as fat. and it can lead to obesity.. higher choleterol and weight issues. so i don’t drink it unless i’m working out.
