How to go emo?

I want to go emo but I dont know what to wear and my mom wont let me die my hair or cut it short. so please help me

Answer #1

emo is such a rubbish style. is just for those people that dont have friends and they lock themselves into a STUPID WORLD. with other words they are gay

just be yourself be normal there is no need of a style for people to look at you !!!

Answer #2

don’t listen to all the people who say “oh no, don’t go emo, cutter! saddo, freak, be yourself.” I know you should be yourself, but if you truly want to do this it must be because you feel that you yourself are emo, yes? I recently “went emo”, before I’d had slight identity issues, now I’ve never been happier, because I’ve found my true self and style. I am now “just being myself”. I went for the geeky emo look, with the glasses and the argyle socks :D studded belts, skinny jeans, beads, slogan tees, eyeliner are common things for emos to wear. Also, about your hair, you don’t have to dye it, or cut it too short, but maybe your mum would let you have it thinned into a sort of longish pixie cut? Or a long bob, which you can mess up with mousse and stuff.

Answer #3

ok so…emo…its not a hard stlye…skinny jeans, vans, studded belts, tight shirts, and jackets. some of the emos I know where jelly rolls(bracelets), black eyeliner. and you don’t need to get your hair cut…but you can go buy that stuff at Target or Walmart. and for cheap…

Answer #4

okay…I used to b emo..and yea I still have emo friends..but it took a awhile to realize that emo is soo..bleh..I have nuthing against it..but emo (when it comes to person wise) is immature, like a bad way to handle reality, no offense to those who still are..I listen to emo music..I like it lots..but im NOT emo..im myself..

Answer #5

just be yourself who you want to be but emos around my school wear like red + black stripe jumpers (like denis) clothes out of punky fish cloths that has emotional things on it

  • spike braclets + earings
  • stuff with skull on like wristbands bags ect..

Answer #11

well, I don’t think you should go ‘emo’. If you like their style then dress like it. But don’t go around labeling yourself. but also be sure to have some confidence in yoursef at all times. And some ‘emos’ I’ve seen do have long hair. So maybe just darken the eye makeup. And wear darker clothes. But, that’s just because you want to be that way. But I PERSONALLY think you should be YOURSELF

Answer #12

umm, why would you want to??? just be yourself.
