Emancipation so I really am tired of living at home with my mom

okay so I really am tired of living at home with my mom.. my other family memebers agree that she is too harsh on me when one I volunteer at least 56 hours to my cumminity have never done drugs make good grades in school and won over 32 awards one from the NAACP. and in exactly nine days I turn 16. I want to be emancipated because she says for why 16th birthday because I am so spoiled (mine you I haven’t recieved a present for the past 7 years for a birthday) that I dont get a cake, party, and I only get the guitar, that I paid half for… the only question I have is where can I live once I become emancipated???

Answer #1

Once you become emancipated you have to support yourself. If you dont know where you’re going to live, or you cant afford a place to live no judge will sign an emancipation order…

Answer #2

You have to have a very good reason to be emancipated. No judge will emancipate you because your mom is “too harsh” on you. When you are emancipated you have to support yourself. And it would be very hard to even find a job that would support you when you are only 16. My advice to you would be to live by your mothers rules and get a job. Save money so that when you are 18 you can legally move out.

Good luck

Answer #3

What if my mom always chooses her boyfriend over my siblings and I even though he is abusive, a drug user, a sexual predator, and a pervert. Will I be able to get emancipated from my home out of this horrible situation?
