Economy Affects

This is my first real Politics question but also random:

How has the economy affected you and your family? Did it cause you to make changes to certain things?

Answer #1

I mean it did affect my family but my uncle moved in to help my grandpa out since it was just us 2 living here in this big house so I mean it helped a lot

But my cheerleading family oh wow We had to do sooo much fund raising No one understands how expecive cheerleading is you have to pay for: Tumbling classes Uniforms Practice wear Bags Shoes Sweat outfits for winter games Competition (hotel transportation) I mean I spent at least 1000dollars on cheerleading a year

And unfortunatly we could not make up the money to go to NATIONALS which was our biggest dream and we did sooo much fund raising

But this year is our year

Knowing the policies (super spending, gov’t way overreaching, amassing Huge debt, coming sky high taxes and prices to ‘pay’ for it all) the budget has really had to be tightened ahead of the coming economic storms - so yes, most definitely affecting my family - not the ‘Change’ I had hoped for.

Answer #3

Yes it has had a severe affect on my small business. I have not collected a full salary in 6 months. But things are starting to turn. We are actually starting to get very busy.

Answer #4

Yeah, to almost everything. I take care of kids..so I work when the parent(s) work. A lot of them are getting laid off, or their hours cut, so I get paid less. My dad’s disabled with diabetes, so almost all of my income goes to nothing but bills, gas and groceries.

Answer #5

The way it most affects me is insecurity.

I used to think that if I worked hard and did a good job I would be successful and secure. Now it no longer seems like a fair game. Regardless of how well I perform my job, it is at the whim of the economy and corporate bean counters. If I lost my job I don’t know if I could find another one quickly and no doubt I’d have to take a substantial pay cut at least for a few years.

Thanks to corporate greed, short-sightedness and malfeasance our economy hangs by a thread. Hopefully we can rebuild it with a more solid foundation.

Save money where you can and buy smart stocks.
