Dragonball Z, Gohan too old for high school!

If Gohan was a teenager like he is claimed to be when he kills Cell, then why does he start High School seven years later? Gohan must be between the ages of 13 to 19 when he fights Cell to be called a teenager. 7 years later he goes to High School. How many High School Freshmen are between the age of 20 to 26?

maybe it was mistranslated between japan and america, there isnt a term in japan for an adolescent I dont think, he only says that once and the translators probably didnt think anyone would catch it. besides, its just dragonball z, does it really matter?

Ok well in the Video Game he called Teen Gohan and even if he was 10 or 12 it would still make him like 17 or 19 entering High School. I’m not really stressing over it.

on one of the episodes when he is fighting cell they say 11 years in the making 7 years later is the great saiyaman saga that makes him 18 years old.
