How old does a puppy have to be to eat solid food?

It really depends on the size of the breed. For example, great danes would start eating sooner than chihuahuas. Chihuahuas usually start eating at 4ish weeks old. Large breeds 3ish weeks, sometimes sooner. It’s best to soften the food in water and feed it to them soaked for a few days after they first start eating. Then when they’re used to eating it softened, let them start eating it dry.

She should start eating softened puppy food at about 3 - 3 1/2 weeks old then. :) Some start eating sooner, and some later. Puppies are different.

Just make sure not to feed her pure canned food, it will give her the runs :)
