Domestic violence is worst at what time of year?

I was a cop, dispatcher, 911 operator, and jailer for a good chunk of my life, and yep. Alcohol, relatives all coming together, money troubles= all tinder for a nice fire of argeuments, fights, and sometimes violence. Not to mention DWI.

I absolutely agree! at this time of year, people are going through times of struggle and need. I believe that there are more domestic violence cases each Holiday season but, of course that happens daily regardless. Why do you think cops don’t get time off? Because of all the fights and stuff that goes on. Look out for New Years, all the drinking and such is going to be going on. People that are going through struggles can find love and joy from friends or relatives that go through similar situations in life. In fact, its been about 3 years for me since I haven’t been with my family. I’m getting through. I have people that I’m close too and that always helps. I hope you get well soon. I agree and my friend who works at a hospital just told me tonight that they had over 6 sucide attempts in the last 2 weeks. None died but one is dieing a slow death because he drank antifreeze and his liver and kidney’s are failing and he will not be up on donor list. So sad that people don’t relize what the holidays are about and nothing is that bad. I have been their and feel so stupid for ever feeling that way
