Does taking cold showers make you get a layer of fat?

because some websites say that if you take a cold shower your body ends up burning extra calories in trying to warm your body up yet others say that it can have the opposite effect like when peoples bodies build up a layer of fat to stay warm in the winter.

I think you’d have to stay in a cold shower, 24/7 to change the fat layer in your body…taking a cold shower everyday, simply isn’t enough time to entirely change the metabolism of your body.

I dont think it makes much difference to most people however showering in cold water for too long is probs not good for your body- changing skin temperature too much. Having a warm shower and then ending it with a few seconds of cold to wrap it up is meant to be good as it tightens the skin and can help prevent cellulite.

if cold showers made people thinner…everyone would be doing it.

…let a shower be a shower… use whatever temperature water you like…

lol stop researching water temperature and do some excercises… lol its probably a better investment if your looking for fat burning. lol
