Does eating ice damage teeth?

Does eating ice damage your teeth? Im beginning to worry because my friend told me it damages teeth and I chew ice all the time (dont ask why, its a habbit!) If so, how?

eating ice can crack your teeth, and also have a nawing effect on your teeth making edges rough, or jagged… ice eating can be a sign of anemia… I have severe anemia, have had 3 blood transfusions due to extremely low levels of red cells… I eat ice continuely,, can eat 5-6 trays of ice a day, and take another to bed with me… I wake up in the middle of the night to eat ice…have your blood levels checked..

Not only does eating ice damage tooth enamel, but it can be a sign of enemia (sp?)

Yes, my dentist has told me it can seriously damage your teeth amd make them sensitive.

Yes, ice can dammage your teeth by wearing away the enamal, and shinyness. They start cracking, they lose the color, and they lose all the liquid that’s part of the enamal. I would stop eating ice for you’ll lose all the good stuff on your teeth. Once your teeth are dammaged, its hard to restore your enamal. Its also hard to get them white again.
