Do YOU think homosexuals will be damned to hell?

People say that homosexuality is above all sins in being the worst. They also say homosexuals will be damned to hell and it’s a “abomination”. I know it states it is a abomination in the bible but the bible also states many, many things that are “wrong” and if it REALLY is such a great sin as many people believe, then why isn’t one of the commandments “thou shall not act on homosexuality”?

p.s. We all know that homosexuality is not a choice but the way you were born. End of story. So if God created us all, which in the bible it states he did then why would he punish someone for the way HE made them?

Answer #1

piamonte_jr, very mature I must say! Grow up!

Answer #2

Not necessarily, if before they take their last breath they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they’re Heaven-bound !!

Answer #3

I couldn’t have put it better myself actually. Of course they wont be damned to hell! That’s just silly.

Answer #4

God didnt create Satan as we know of him now…Lucifer is his name and he WAS an angel of God and Lucifer decided he wanted to be in control and not to worship God and to do evil as he is now known for and was casted down from Heaven by God…

Not really… Lucifer is the name of a Roman deity that Christianity adopted through an apparent mistranslation (from Latin to English) of the KJV, along with severe misinterpretation of parts of Isaiah. The term is used throughout the Bible, to describe different things:

  • A Babylonian King
  • things that are bright
  • things that are rightous and/or good
  • Jesus

But regardless, since God is all-seeing and all-knowing; past, present, and future… he KNEW what that angel would become when he created him… and he allowed it to happen.

Answer #5

Even if you don’t believe people are born homosexual, god still predetermined they would be.

“You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!” [Psalm 139:16]

God also created people that would go to hell, knowing before hand they would.

Answer #6

“Well… God CREATED Satan…”

God didnt create Satan as we know of him now…Lucifer is his name and he WAS an angel of God and Lucifer decided he wanted to be in control and not to worship God and to do evil as he is now known for and was casted down from Heaven by God…

As far as defending my beliefs, I feel I have no need to on here, I’m not going to continue on here a debat that isnt even about the question that was asked…I already answered my opinion and beliefs on the question asked and need to say no more about it!

Answer #7

WHY do homosexuals have marches, parade around with signs that announce they are gay, go so public and want so much for the world to know and accept their sexuality? - Puglover

If I dont mistake xtians did their fair share of parades and marching around, why dont they keep their religions private ??? Cause all of us dont share their delusions or superstitions!!!

Answer #8

I’ll grow up when you open your eyes Puglover. All my questions are not answered in the Bible as are many others. What is the cure to cancer? What came first, the chicken or the egg? Are either of these in the Bible?

Answer #9

People say that homosexuality is above all sins in being the worst.

Well… those people are WRONG.

Satan is as real as God is and we should be blaming Satan for bad , sinful things and for hurtful things that happen, not God

Well… God CREATED Satan… so why shouldn’t people blame God? Since people today are still paying for the mistakes of the first two people on Earth.

Answer #10

Not necessarily, if before they take their last breath they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they’re Heaven-bound !!

Where does the Bible specifically say the person must be ALIVE to repent?

Answer #11

“people say that homosexuality is above all sins in being the worst.”

keyword: PEOPLE. since when are worried about what people think? God judges us in the end, not man. I’m pretty sure your statement is incorrect. but to answer your question, homosecuals are not necessarily going to hell. and for the record, heterosexuals are not necessarily going to hell either.

Answer #12

Read the Bible! God’s word never faulters…All sin is a sin regardless of what it is, the only unforgiveable sin is blasphamy of the Holy Spirit(God) but all sins are considered equal otherwise, but the bible says that homosexuality is wrong and a sin! Unforgiveable, No…but is wrong!

Answer #13

Puglover, the Bible isn’t the answer to everything. Not everyone wants to read it, not everyone wants to follow it, not everyone wants to believe it. I don’t nescesarily agree with homosexuality but if someone likes people of the same gender, then that’s fine with me.

Puglover you need to think of others instead of thinking of the Bible every time something comes up.

Answer #14

“Puglover you need to think of others instead of thinking of the Bible every time something comes up. “

Well Piamonte, My life is based as a Christian on what God would want of me , NO I am not perfect and I am a sinner and I am human, But as a Christian, that is a path I chose, so Yes, Everything is based and should be based on 1st, what God would want and what His will is and 2nd, what is morally right. …to me homosexuality IS wrong, to the Bible and what God wants, it is wrong! So, in that, thinking of others is based on their Spiritual well being and if that isnt the path they chose, that is their choice, so be it, but for me I choose to follow My God and in that I will always try to do what the Bible(God’s word) says, as I already said, I am human and dont always do what I should, but I do my best to be the best and do the best I can.

Answer #15

“Puglover, the Bible isn’t the answer to everything. Not everyone wants to read it, not everyone wants to follow it, not everyone wants to believe it”

The Bible IS the answer to everything!!! You are right, not everyone wants to read it and not everyone wants to follow it, that is their choice. We are free beings and have a free will to choose and do as we want, does it make it right? No, but God doesnt force us to do or be anything, He made us free will beings…so the choice IS ours!

Answer #16

well I dont beleive in any “god” and am a proud athiest being gay/lesbian,bi/transgender/transexual ect does not make anyone any less human because were all the same and I find it pathetic that namely the chrsitian religion denies people soley based on what sexuality they are were all sexual beings the sooner they learn that the sooner they can stop talking about stupid and rediculouse “sins”

Answer #17

jazlovestoskate, you are right, being gay/lesbian,bi/transgender/transexual ect doesnt make us any less human, …doesn’t make anyone necessarily a “bad” person and we are sexual beings, but trying to expalin my views as a Christian to you who isn’t, makes no sense I’m sure at all to you…As I stated in the above statement, we are free beings and God doesnt make anyone do anything they dont desire to do…does He want us all to be saved and come to Him, yes, but He wont force anyone to do anything…thats the wonderful thing about free will , but yet it can also be our downfall if we choose to live in a worldly life instead of living it for Him!

Answer #18

* People say that homosexuality is above all sins in being the worst.

Worse than rape? Worse than murder? I’d much rather live next door to a homosexual couple than to a rapist or murderer.

Answer #19

Hey Kaylasue,

Religious people often make outrages claims that they can not back up with any bit of rational evidence. Hell is one of those… And some religious people have an unhealthy interest in to what is going on in other people’s bedroom…

Makes you wonder, doesn’t it…

Anyway…, I think the answer is no. Not very likely.

Answer #20

“And some religious people have an unhealthy interest in to what is going on in other people’s bedroom…”

Some do, but most of the time its brought up by those that are gay, lesbian, bisexual…I dont agree with it, BUT if thats the life you choose, then thats the life you choose, WHY do homosexuals have marches, parade around with signs that announce they are gay, go so public and want so much for the world to know and accept their sexuality? A persons sexuality is a private issue to me and if thats the way you want to live and thats the sexual chose you make, so be it..I dont go around shouting. I”M HETERALSEXUAL” and wear heteralsexual tshirts and announce my sexuality to the world…it shouldnt be any different!

Answer #21

“p.s. We all know that homosexuality is not a choice but the way you were born. End of story. So if God created us all, which in the bible it states he did then why would he punish someone for the way HE made them?”

So wrong! Since you seem to think you know this as fact that this is what the bible says, them I assume you read the Bible? Or not, because the only thing that you said that was correct was God created us…He doesnt control us like robots and we have free will…God Doesnt condone sinful acts nor did He create us to do anything or have any sinful acts, we were created perfect, but because of sin in the world, we choose to do sinful and wrong things, It amazes me how peiople blame God for everything…well, Satan is as real as God is and we should be blaming Satan for bad , sinful things and for hurtful things that happen, not God, also, we choose to live a certain way and we choose the actions we do, right or wrong, …its up to us who we want to follow, but then we blame God when things dont work out…pitiful!

Answer #22

No, I don’t think homosexuals - or anyone else - will be condemned to hell, because it doesn’t exist. And as far as the christian bible goes, it only makes passing references to homosexuality, and only in the old testament. Strangely, the same christians that interpret that to be resounding condemnation of homosexuality conveniently ignore most of the rest of the old testament. It’s very much a case of selective reading.

Answer #23

Puglove you may need to read that bible of urs again. The bible says that homosexuality is punishable by death, so is disobeying your elders. But it also says not to kill another man and to love others no matter what. That book of urs is full of controdictions. So pull your head out of your over religios a** and step into the real world.

Answer #24

I dont think homosexuals would go to hell its there choice to be what they want to be and gods happy with whatever you choose to be beacuse he isent going to tell us what to do and not to do. so I dont think he has a problem with it god put us on earth to be arselfs and to be arselfs so no I dont think he would have a problem and I dont think they would go to hell

Answer #25

“The Bible IS the answer to everything!!! “

And how is it the answer to everything? How can it have an answer to every single question in the world? What’s the meaning of life? The Bible. What is the sound of one hand clapping? The Bible. When a tree falls in the woods and there’s nobody around to hear it, does it make a soud? The Bible.

Answer #26

Puglover,

Piamonte_jr might have a point. If you make an extraordinary claim like that, you could expect a rational inquiry that demands an extraordinary explanation.

And in reaction to your question: “WHY do homosexuals have marches, parade around with signs that announce they are gay, go so public and want so much for the world to know and accept their sexuality?” The last three words of your question answer that.

However, I must say, marches and texts on T-shirts do embarrass me somewhat. It must be my introvert european background. I am also fortunate to live and work in a culture where a struggle for recognition of one’s sexuality is not necessary. For now, I am just an ordinary academic in a dark-grey businesslike two-piece ladies suit and heels. But if it ever comes to it, I would wear the shirt and march too!

Answer #27

“Read the Bible! God’s word never faulters…”

Puglover, the bible is full of horrible things done in the name of god. Do you think that stoning people to death is an ok punishment?

from Numbers: 32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.

33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.

34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.

35 And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.

The bible is full of attoricities committed in the name of god. So what it has to say about homosexuality is meaningless.
