Do cross-eyed people see normally?

Or do they see things in different directions or whatever? Same with lazy-eyes…etc.

Answer #1

The condition where both eyes do not align is called strabismus. When the mis-aligned eye points inward it is called “cross-eyed,” when it points outward it is called “wall-eyed.”

In either case someone with strabismus sees double. People with strabismus often close one eye to avoid seeing double. The brain can begin to ignore the sight from the misaligned eye leading to amblyopia or lazy-eye.

I had congenital strabismus but luckily my doctor caught it early and it was repaired when I was 1. I do have a problem where when I’m very tired I begin to see double though.
