Answer #3

Answer #4

Any auto immune defficency (spelling??)

Answer #5

she has asthma but I was unaware that this reduces a persons defence system.

Answer #6

haha out of all people, I think my friend would be last to smoking meth XD

Answer #7

Asthma is a big one….my daughter has it and during her infancy I felt we never left the hospital….She is better now that she is older but that maybe your cause.

Answer #8

Asthma reduces the oxygen concentration in the blood, thus, reducing the oxygen supply throughout the body.

The way it weakens the immune system is a tricky one: Asthma is a condition brought about by a hypersensitive allergic response, right? The body responds to allergens by constricting the airways in an attempt to prevent the allergens from entering the body. So the way to treat it is to stop the body from doing this. The only way that the body stops the allergic response (which, by itself, is an overprotective immune response) is to attack the immune system with the use of immunosuppressants (medicine that weakens the immune system so that it doesn’t go overprotective).

Answer #9

so it is the asthma’s treatment that really weakens the immune system, not the asthma itself.

Hope this helps. =)

Answer #10

Asthma can be allergy or sports induced or seasonal due to climate change and in some rare cases for females hormonal

Answer #11

if it was her treatment then the doctor would of changed it….ugh asthma is still a complex thing for doctors because when they go ok cool we have it all another case will give asthma five more triggers and blah blah blah blah. that being said they usually make what is called a asthma rescue plan with the patient and it is up to the patient to teach whomever due to the in some cases an asthma attack can cause you to pass out not recieving your meds in time. If your friend truly has asthma she should always have a rescue med on her it comes in a red or blue or white casing. then there are the long term meds, which she should be taking everyday whether she has an attack or not. most doctors write off that the asthma attack was caused by failure to continue meds unless they see other symptoms that say other wise. the spring season is coming up the weather from warm to cold maybe causing the issue.
