How do I get discovered by a music producer other then from youtube?

I live in China, so is it going to be hard? Can anyone help me?

talent shows, Film soundtrack auditions, radio etc.

You can join talent shows in school .. join perfoming arts clubs and when it comes to perfoming your shows u might get noticed :)

Youtube really does seem to be the way that most new artist and entertainers are being noticed these days. Some other things that can help, a myspace music page, playing in local coffee shops and open mike nights, making demo cds and sending them to record companies and producers, getting a talent agent, spreading the word about your music anyway that you can.

Get your mixing boards together, set up a video camera, hit record and try to make some bad-ass beats while on camera, but to feel comfortable, just be yourself in it, don’t push yourself too far to where you don’t know what else to do.

Be creative, that’s something they look for.
