What's the difference between weaving and slicing hair?

For when I get it highlighted.

Answer #1

Slicing is when hairstylists weave highlights into your hair. They weave them underneath the top layer of hair. The reason is so that you can wear them without the weaving being seen by others. The highlights are very thin and the only time that you can actually see them is when you wear all or part of your hair back.
