Deficiency attentional syndrome and schizophrenia?

Excuse me if this term is wrong, I don’t know the right term for this problem, but it consists is a difficulty to keep atentive and it’s associated to hiperactivity. The questio is: Which are the odds that a child with this diagnose should develope schizophrenia?

Answer #1

That is entirely different… if there is past history in the family it raises the risk substantially (although ADHD has nothing to do with it)

Answer #2

Thank you for paying attetion to my question and yes, there is a very strong reason to ask it: a child whom I love dearly has this problem and furthermore there are some ancestors who suffered schizophrenia, it runs in the family, so I am very worried. SOFÍA

I talked to my professor who worked with kids with ADHD and he said he’s never heard of a link between the two… so it’s about the same odds as anyone in the “normal” population…

Answer #5

It’s Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Uhm you want to know the comorbidity levels? I dont think they’re too high. They dont really have to do with each other…

I’ll try and find out for you

Is there a particular reason you want to know?
