How deep is it to the subcutaneous tissue (the fatty layer under your skin)?

This goes with my other question of how deep does a cut need to be for you to need stitches? If you need specific location, lets say on the upper thigh.

…I really hope someone answers, because this kinda effects my current situation………..

It depends where you are talking about. It can range from about 0.5 mm to about 4mm. If you have a laceration that has gone as deep as the subcutaneous tissue, you can probably see it. And again, whether you need stiches relies on where it is, how deep it is, how wide it is, how delicate the skin is. Whether you need to see a doctor for it also depends on how you got it and your personal medical history. Its probably easier for you to ask a doctor.
