bear in mind he was very very old if youve had him since you were 2. everyone deals with grief in their own way.. perhaps in time a new cat would help..

I recently lost a dog that I’ve had since I was 8/9 and I am now 20. I am still getting over her and it’s been 2 months. She was my baby. I cry all the time still, but not as long as I used to. I still miss her, but I know she is much beeter where she is at because she isnt suffering anymore(she had diabetes). I keep a picture of her on my computer desk top to remind me of her everyday, and I think that has helped me, because it’s like she is still with me all the time. I’m sorry for your lose, just remember that being upset about it is a normal and understandable feeling.

You won’t ever forget him…but the pain of the loss will fade with time. Allow yourself to grieve…many of us know exactly how you feel, and have been through it many times. It will get better.

Someday, down the road, you might think about another little kitty…it won’t take the place of your lost pet, but it will fill the hole left in your heart…

A new cat is like replacing your old one. Maybe get another pet?? Or do what amblessed said to go.
