Dazed and confused for 4 years!

Hey should I give up on this guy ..basically were high school sweethearts then its been a bout a 4 year strech since we’ve been apart..but still we both find ways to contact each other…I guess were both hot & cold…I just don’t know what to do I mean I’m here in new mexico now and he’s here but we haven’t seen each other hey for real it’s a long story…any one want to know more? Just let me know because I’m way confused and myheart can’t take it I mean I have asked him if he still cares…he said yes without a doubt what in the world is he thinking!! Oh yeah and **nnell and I had never been sexually active with one another…?? So why would he be leading me on? Is he? Ugh…get back to me please? Thanks

Hi Hug and Kisses. I think you have two real choices here. You either have an open and honest conversation with each other where both of you lay your feelings out for each other to see. You tell him how confused you’ve been, along with why, and that you still have feelings for him. Tell him to be 100% honest with you though and that you won’t be angry or upset by anything he says as you need the truth for the sake of your sanity! You might find out that he has similar feelings and that he too is unsure of how you feel. You may also find that he isn’t interested that way and that he just like flirting with you – he may feel comfortable doing that because you’ve never been sexually active together…there may be 1001 other factors here too that is driving him!

The second choice is to put a line under the past and get on with your future.

I have been in a similar situation myself recently and have a damn good idea what’s going on in your head – mine was scrambled for weeks!
