Do you think that could be possible one day or that would be too crazy?

I dont mean to offend anybody, but with these gay rights and everything what would happen if people wanna marry their pets and use the same arguments that with gay people that they feel that way about their pets and that they are in love with their pets, dogs or cats and all the psycology thing and stuff and then it would be normal that people marry their pets too. Dont get me wrong i was just wondering if that could happen. What do you think?

Answer #1

As much as it grosses me out, there are already people fighting to be able to have sexual intercourse and relations with animals and pets.

Answer #2

To have a lawful relationship, both parties must be consenting.

Animals, like children, are unable to consent to a sexual relationship … that is why it’s against the law and always will be.

sure- the whole premise here is “who is to judge who someone loves” what was once considered ‘perverse’ is now being considered mainstream and being called normal, so if someone was to love their pet and decide to have a ‘committed relationship’ as well as a sexual relationship with another species of animal- who is to say that is wrong? this is a dangerous precedent to be setting ( just to clear the record here- i do NOT begrudge anyone from loving whom they choose- but i do believe marriage should be male/ female as decided by nature). the word ‘consent’ was mentioned- there are many gestures that can be seen as ‘consent’- licking a cheek, presenting a submissive sexual posture, a willing bark- a tail wag, and the absence of fighting against a sexual or loving advance. deaf mute people consent through body language- why not a dog consent through body language as well?? now for the record here i do NOT support bestiality or trans-species marriages and sexual relationships- merely playing devils advocate. so who is going to deny someone from loving another animal?? after all we are all members of the ‘animal kingdom’- who will sit in judgement of what is perverse? we as a society have opened pandoras box by allowing the definition of marriage to be redefined. there are many intelligent species on this planet so why not broaden the definition to include other species?? i personally feel that society has gone way too far away from the laws of nature and mating to reproduce to insure the survival of the species. we as human beings have now made the dating scene even more complicated- you now have to find out if someone likes men or women before asking someone out- back in the day it was simply implied ( even though there were gay people posing as straight people and not happy).

would the people who have voted for same sex marriages wallow in the pit of hypocrisy by not allowing someone to love another living creature of a different species and marry that species as well , and live happily ever after? as is often the case they will be hypocrites and call a minority perverse just like they were at one time- ( in the liberal mind) it is ok to call another minority perverse and ridicule them as long as it is NOT THEIR MINORITY GROUP.

the argument “ i was born this way” works with trans species relationships too- and merely awaits a scientist to discover the “bestiality gene”.

Answer #4

A dog licking your cheek is no more sexual consent than a hug from a child is … with your reasoning, raping children should be legal.

Answer #5

no- i don’t really have a ‘dog’ in this argument- so to speak, but who is to say that an animal behavioral specialist couldn’t one day testify that an animal did indeed give consent through BODY LANGUAGE- happens all the time. i have grown up in the country and personally witnessed what animals in heat are capable of.
