Customer and reason

My question: after you read the story: did I give patricia the right answer.

Elderly customer: “patricia did you lose weight” Patricia: “no” Elderly customer: “because your face looks like it lost weight, because you are skinny” Patricia: “i was always skinny” Elderly customer: “you are like me you lose weight in face but gain in stomach” Patricia: “but I am skinny every where” Elderly customer: “yes you definitely are skinny every where, even your hands are tiny. I don’t want you to get fat but gain five pounds. I have a big stomach which happened since I have retired from work”

Patricia called me and told me the story. Lover454: “patricia all the elderly woman is saying that it looks like you lost weight in your face, but she thinks you are skinny everywhere including your stomach, but the elderly lady has a big stomach”

Answer #1

No. You should tell Patricia she needs to gain a few pounds, especially if people are making comments. Aren’t you worried that she might have an eating disorder? You should be suggesting counseling instead of making her feel good about her skinniness.

Answer #2

“Patricia” needs to seek help right away

Answer #3

you’re all too funny! (laughing)

I think your answer was perfect!
