can you make cookies without eggs?

i dont have any but the box says i need 2 :/

Answer #1

Oh are you making them from a box? I’m not sure if you can leave them out if the recipe asks for them. There’s only on way to find out ;D but I did find a recipe that doesn’t need eggs if you’d rather try that instead..

Makes 16-22 cookies Ingredients 12oz Self Raising Flour 8oz Soft Margarine 8oz Caster Sugar 2oz Dark Chocolate Drops (or anything else you fancy putting in; smarties, white chocolate drops, raisins etc.) Method 1 - Mix the sugar and marge in a big bowl with a wooden spoon 2 - Add the flour and use your hands to knead the mixture, it shouldn’t be at all crumbly, so add a little more margarine if it is. 3 - Add the extras 4 - Take a small ball of dough, about the size of 1 and a half ping pong balls and squeeze it so it’s a circle about 1.5cm thick 5 - Place on a greased tray. 6 - Cook in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 15 mins. 7 - Put on a rack and leave to cool

Thanks very much ill try it(:

Answer #3

No problemo :)

Answer #4

I’ve used apple sauce instead before, and I know there’s another alternative. I think it’s something like half a cup per egg. Or half of a mashed banana per egg.

Answer #5

LOL. THAT IS SO RANDOM. I LOVE IT.

Answer #6

Actually, I just remembered something, you can replace the eggs & butter with mayonnaise. Not sure in what amounts. But it can happen ;D

Answer #7

I would look here: cooks.com/rec/search/0,1-0,chocolate_cookies_without_eggs,FF.html

Answer #8

eww mayonnaise in my cookies?? gross lol

Answer #9

well bananas would be great…if i wasnt really allergic haha

Answer #10

It doesn’t taste of mayo! It’s ‘cause it’s sticky so can replace the butter, and it’s made of eggs. Trust me! My nan made me a mayo cake once and I refused to eat it at first but everyone else wouldn’t shut up about how nice it was and trust, it DOESN’T taste of mayo :]

Answer #11

D: you’re allergic. That’s devastating. So you never got warm, mashed up bananas as a baby? You’ve not lived :(

Answer #12

Omg allergic to Bananas? :’( :’( :’(

Answer #13

I WISH I WERE ALLERGIC. My mom used to force them on me.

Answer #14

There are recipes that do not call for eggs at all. Also, there are common substitutions that you can experiment with. Ener-G makes an egg replacer. A friend of mine has a son who is allergic to eggs and she reports that this product works well for the recipes she has tried it in.

Answer #15

I am eating banana right now o.o

Answer #16

well i had bananas when i was a baby but i didnt like it and i found out i was allergic when i was like 5 because i didnt know before because i didnt eat them lol

Answer #17

Yes. There are many alternatives instead of eggs, i’ve made baked goods with oil, baking powder and milk but a bit less than an egg worth and not a lot of baking powder, but you can also use bananas, applesauce, oil and vinegar, egg supplement which is what vegans use. Theres probably more too but i cannot think of them at the moment.

Answer #18
