How do I cook thin slices of ham?

Tommorow id Dr. Suess’s birthday and my classroom is having a party for the children, my lesson is to make green egss and hm, i know how to do the egss part but how would i do the ham? It would be sliced about 3/4 an inch thick. I’m using a skillet to do this. How exactly would i cook it, with hat ingredients, what temp. and how long would it take to cook?

Answer #1

I would just simply fry it in some sort of butter or oil, maybe even water… just until it gets brown and looks done.

Is this ham pre-cooked or completely raw?

Answer #2

I’m not sure yet…..the main teacher is getting it tonight…most likely it will be pre-cooked but still i have no experience cooking it so i didn’t have a clue haha.

Answer #3

If it’s pre-cooked… then there is no specific time you have to cook it for, since you can eat it without even cooking it. If it’s pre-cooked, I would just fry it until it turns a bit brown.

Answer #4

Try a slow cooker (if you have the time, that is.)

Put the ham in the slow cooker at the beginning of the day, add some water and whatever spices you wish, and set the heat setting on low. When dinner time comes around, take your ham out of the slow cooker and serve. The ham will be cooked, tender and delicious :)

If it’s really thin slices of ham, such as those meant for sandwiches, wraps, etc; I’d just fry it up with some butter, spices (if you wish) or oil in a pan.
